In view of the need to establish the legal framework for the activity under the TELEWORK regime, Presidential Decree nº52/22 of 17 February was recently published, which regulates:
- When and under what conditions it must be exercised;
- Requirement to enter a contract, subject to written form, and under the terms indicated;
- Indication of the duties of both parties, the employers, and workers;
- Worker privacy;
- Termination of the telework contract.
It also refers to the current General Labor Law – Law 7/15 of 15 June, in relation to other provisions that may arise within the scope of the legal employment relationship.
This diploma enters into force 30 days after its publication.
